Basic Requirements

Source Project

• Source project is the project where Jira Sync will retrieve the issues. This is the source of truth project.

Target Project

• Target project is the project where Jira Sync will sync the issues. This is project where the issues will be created/updated.

Technical User

• In Jira Sync it is needed to have a Technical User/Functional User. This user should have the enough permissions to be able to get project information and ticket details.

• Source Project

  • User should be able to get project information

  • User should be able to get issue information

  • To follow. List all permission required.

• Target Project

  • User should be able to get project information

  • User should be able to create issue

  • To follow. List all permission required also for specific sync like Versions, Fix Version if user need to be able to create this.

• For Cloud Projects the ff is required:

  • Username

  • API Token

    • Generate an API token for this user if instance is Cloud

  • Account ID

    • Get the account id for this user
